The Office for the Participation of Women has been established to undertake projects as determined by the Bishops Commission for Evangelisation, Laity and Ministry to implement the recommendations of the Bishops’ Social Justice Statement on the participation of women in the Church and to act as a focal point for ongoing dialogue and the integration of ideas pertaining to women and their participation in the Catholic Church in Australia.

As part of our team we are seeking to appoint a Project Officer to assist in the development and establishment of a quality program for the revised Young Catholic Women’s Interfaith Fellowship. 

This role involves:

  • Developing the formation and leadership components of the Leadership Fellowship for young Catholic women
  • Coordinating the delivery of this program
  • Working within a budget to deliver projects

This is a part time position (7.5 hours per week) for 2 years, based in Canberra.

You will have proven experience proven experience in a broad range of office duties with strong experience in working in a small team without close supervision and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Windows operating environment and the Microsoft Office applications software
