Equal Remuneration Order

In June 2012 Fair Work Australia made an Equal Remuneration Order to incrementally increase pay rates in the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award. The pay increases are to be introduced in nine (9) equal instalments over eight (8) years. The first of these instalments is to be should be paid on the first pay period on or after 1 December 2012 and the last will apply from the first pay period on or after 1 December 2020.
The increases are as follows:

2011-2012 Fair Work Australia Annual Wage Review Decision

The Fair Work Australia Annual Wage Review Panel handed down it's decesion on the national minimum wage today. In making this decision the Panel took into consideration economic conditions, growth and productivity over the last 12 months.
The national minimum wage will be $606.40 per week or $15.96 per hour. The hourly rate has been calculated on the basis of a 38 hour week for a full-time employee. This constitutes an increase of $17.10 per week or 45 cents per hour. Minimum wages in modern awards will be increased by 2.9%. The increase will apply from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2012.

2011 -2012 Christmas Leave Arrangements
The attached following dates are the gazetted public holidays for the 2011 Christmas and New Year period and the additional leave days approved by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference for ACBC employees in recognition of additional work undertaken during the year.

2010 - 2011 Fair Work Australia Annual Wage Review Decision
On Friday 3 June 2011 Fair Work Australia handed down the decision in the 2010 -2011 Annual Wage Review.
FWA Adopted a uniform percentage increase in modern award minimum wages of 3.4 percent. Weekly wages will be rounded to the nearest 10 cents. The increase will flow through to junior employees, employees to whom training arrangements apply, employees with a disabilty and to piece rates.
Employers in the Federal system should apply this increase from the first pay period after 1 July 2011.
The National Minimum Wage is adjusted to $589.30 per week or $15.51 per hour (an increase of 51 cents per hour). The full decision can be accessed via the following link.
